Fall 2015 Travel Registration Now Open

Please read the following message thoroughly and carefully.  In addition, please reference Section 4 of NASA's Travel Policy to understand the process of creating travel teams and the role evaluations play in the process, including the need to attend evaluations.

Fall Registration is now open and player evaluations will take place per the schedule at the bottom of this email based on your child's age group.  The registration link is also located at the bottom of this note.

All players who register will play travel soccer in the Fall.  Your child MUST participate in evaluations for an opportunity to be on a select travel team.  There are at least three select travel teams in each age group.  Two all grade teams and a mixed grade team (5th and 6th).  The same applies to 7 th and 8 th graders playing in the U14 age group.  Players not placed on select travel teams will be placed on travel teams by the Travel Directors.

Although a player does not need to be evaluated to play travel soccer, we encourage all players to be evaluated so NASA can create teams with players at a similar stage in their soccer development and, in turn, place these teams in groups with opponents at a similar level.

If your child is currently on a select team they must be evaluated for the opportunity to remain on that team.  Being on a select team now is not a guarantee that the player will stay on that team.   Each year players are evaluated and selected to play on the select teams.  Some players develop later and some players peak earlier.

If your child is currently injured, please let your designated Travel Director know as soon as possible.

E-mails are; boystravel@nasoccer or girlstravel@nasoccer.com.

Your child MUST be registered in order to be evaluated.  You will receive additional messages about registration but we encourage you to Register Now using either the individual or family login credentials at the bottom of this email.

IMPORTANT ITEMS TO NOTE FOR EVALUATIONS

Please have a copy of your child's birth certificate at check-in  so we can verify the DOB used during registration.  We will not be retaining any birth certificates as part of this process.  If any are left behind, NASA will shred them.

5 th and 7 th graders will have pictures (head shots) taken at evaluations.  These are used for the ID cards our league (ECYSA) requires for all players.

If your child or children have an August birth date and want to play up with their grade level peers, please contact us about this.  DO NOT change your child's birth date or birth year to make them older in NASA's registration system.  We can manage this without manipulating birth dates and years.

Arrive in soccer attire with cleats, shin guards, ball and water bottle.

NO CLUB attire will be allowed.  Players wearing Club team apparel will NOT be allowed to participate in the evaluations, thus eliminating them for select team consideration.

NO team identity attire (team t-shirts, shorts, socks, etc.)
