NASA Spring 2018 Travel Registration

(Intown registration will open in January)

Dear NASA Travel Parents,

The 2018 Spring soccer registration is now open for travel levels U12 (G6), U14 (G8), and high school levels U16/U18/U19 (G10/G12/G13).  Please see the NASA web site for age and grade requirements for each level.  In general, all players in grades 5 and up play at the travel level.  Register by December 17th to avoid paying a $75 late fee.  Registering late runs you the risk of rosters reaching their maximum levels and your child being wait-listed.  If wait-listed, you will be notified accordingly and your credit card will NOT be charged until a team assignment is made.  NASA’s goal is to assign all registered players to a team and targets 15 players per U12 (G6) team and 18 per U14 (G8) team.  We also strive to place all registered high school players who are interested in playing with the understanding that roster placements are made on a first come, first serve basis until rosters are full, except for "coach select" teams.

ECYSA has published a ruling that now allows dual rostering in all age groups.  The dual rostering means that a player can play for a maximum of two teams provided that:

a. Only one team is playing towards MTOC eligibility.

b. Only one team is playing towards National Cup eligibility.

c. Only one team is playing towards State cup eligibility, regardless of state.

Basically, they cannot compete on two teams that are eligible for the same end tournament, be it MTOC, National Cup or State Cup.  If you want to learn more about this ruling, please go to ECYSA’s website and search on guidelines.

To register, please click on this REGISTRATION LINKto enter the NASA registration website.  Your child’s credentials will be sent to you at the bottom of this e-mail.  Please note, after you complete payment via credit card, there is one final page that needs to be completed.  Please complete this page to finalize your registration.  If you do not receive a confirmation email from “” your registration has not been completed.  NASA players who are affiliated with other clubs that use Gotsoccer must register with a unique NASA account.  If the club account is used to register with NASA, players may not show up in the NASA system which can result in the players not being assigned to a team.

Here are some key dates:

·        November 10th – Registration Opens ($145 for G6/G8, $100 for G10+)*

·        December 17th – Late Registration Begins ($75 late fee will be applied)

·        December 31st – Fall Travel Registration Closed (No additional registrations will be accepted after this)

·        April 7th – Tentative First Game (planned)

·        June 2nd – Tentative Last Game, if no make ups

Uniforms have not changed and are the same between the Fall and Spring seasons.  For anyone that needs a new uniform or needs to replace an individual uniform item for the Spring season, you must place your order and pay for it during the registration process.  Please do not skip this step to avoid your child not receiving their needed uniform in time for the Spring season. You will be asked to estimate your player’s sizes and pay for the uniform items during the registration process.  If you are unsure about sizes or have any questions about uniforms, please email with your request before registration closes (December 31st).

If you have questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact me at

NASA Select Coaches Applications Due

 Dear NASA Community,

We hope you enjoyed a great fall season.  This is the time of year when we begin the application process for the Select Coaches for the 2018-2019 season.  As is stated in the NASA Travel Policy, the Select Team is the top all-grade travel team in each grade (5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th; boys and girls).

NASA is seeking coaches for next fall's incoming 5th grade teams (current fourth graders).  NASA looks for committed coaches that display the highest level of sportsmanship, fair play, and respect for their players, opponents, and officials.  We ask for a commitment for fall and spring seasons as a minimum, but strongly prefer a commitment for coaching the duration of the NASA G6 and G8 travel program.  Select Coaches must obtain grade-group relevant coaching licenses (formerly E-License) no later than the first season of coaching the select team.  Coaches interested in other select coaching positions are encouraged to speak with the Travel Directors.

Letters of application and references should be submitted to the travel committee by way of the Travel Directors ( and no later than 15 January.  Coaches will be interviewed by the Travel Committee shortly after, and observation of their coaching will take place early in the spring season. Full details of the expectations of Select Coaches as well as the application and appointment process can be found in the NASA Travel Policy published on the NASA website (
